Did You Know?

Teddy’s biggest hit, “Judy,” was originally recorded as the B-side of “Can’t You See.”

Arlen Vaden of Vaden Records accidentally misspelled Teddy’s last name, changing it to Redell. This spelling is still in use today.

Teddy auditioned for Sam Phillips at Sun in 1957. The songs were never issued and, sadly, are lost.

The piano player Moon Mullican had a big influence on Teddy and another famous piano player named Jerry Lee Lewis.

Teddy wrote several songs for popular country singer Sonny James, “The Southern Gentleman.”
